Bobber has become my therapy cat. I do a lot of reading up on him and how to handle him as an adoptive parent. I love that cat, even though I can’t stand the litter on my feet. This guy likes to make sure his sh*t is buried. 😂
Bobber makes me laugh, all the time. I love his inquisitive and bold personality.
I finally just figured out what’s been bothering Bobber! I moved the blanket he sleeps 🛏️ n. I moved it closer to my bed. I just tried to put it back in the old spot, but then I confused him 🥴. So I put it back in the new spot. He’s now laying in it in the new spot.

AND, I figured out what’s motivates him.
TREATS.
I’ve learned that Bobber will come to me if I shake the treat box. He obviously knew this trick before. Because he ran to me at the first shake.
Bobber doesn’t like not knowing what is behind my closet doors. chatGPT told me to open them so he can check them out. Chat GPT says cats want to have access to every place in the house, so they are not surprised when you open a door. They want to know everything.
Bobber makes a mess of his food when he’s bored. He throws it all out onto the floor and plays hockey with it. Of course this irritates me a little bit, but I just sweep it up and let him do his thing.
He’s also taken a liking to my recliner as a scratching post. Now THAT I do not appreciate, so I will have to pick up a scratching post real soon.
Bobber is settling in pretty well. I still have yet to be able to pet him yet. ChatGPT said it could take three (3) months. And that’s okay with me, as long as we continue to bond in small ways.
