This is a blog in which I will share my personal experiences with trauma and recovery. Not that I am completely healed, as I believe healing is a life long process. Some times more difficult than others. But I’ve been through a lot in my fifty-five (55) years of life on this earth, and I believe God is wanting me to share my stories and testimonies as a way of helping others whom may have gone through the same or similar situations. I will share what has helped me through difficult times, which could be anything from meeting with a therapist on a consistent basis, or practicing new skills I’ve learned instead of running back to my old behaviors. I am hoping that by sharing my experiences it will expand my growth even more. And maybe expand the growth of others.
I struggle with a disability. Well, several. I suffer from Bipolar Type 2, which is currently depressive. I struggle with chronic anxiety, which includes panic attacks at times. I’ve been diagnosed with Complex PTSD, and am still learning a great deal about it. I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD in the past, so I’m trying to learn the difference and whether it resonates. In which case, I would agree. I’ve been reading on complex ptsd, and I can say I definitely relate.
And, as of just recently I’ve been diagnosed with Anorexia and Borderline Personality Disorder, which I don’t believe either one of these. Maybe I’m in denial(?).
I’ve been seeking the help of a therapist at this time. I’ve been with her for five (5) years and I’ve learned more from her than any other therapist, in any given situation.
I highly recommend therapy for everybody. People don’t like to hear this, but this world is a mess and everybody could use a therapist to sift through the sludge.
I am happy with my progress, but it’s still not over. Lots of work to do yet, but I feel my life is on the right track. I hope you find what you’re looking for if you follow my blog.
Thank you for reading and thank you for acknowledging me as an actual person and not just some person trying to claim fame. I like talking to new people. I’m pretty shy and quiet in person, but I can really go at it with a pen and paper.
Thanks for stopping by.
